Grades: Your final grade will be based on: participation, two short papers (Paper 1 and Paper 2), a midterm (20%) and a test (10%) and a final exam (10%). Participation involves regular attendance, taking part in class discussion, and occasional entries in a notebook as indicated in the Class Schedule. (designated NB in the Class Schedule). In addition, some quizzes may be given to allow you to demonstrate your basic comprehension of the reading material.
